Every entry has its own clock.

The protest window runs 180 days from the date each entry liquidates — not from the court ruling, and not from any single national deadline. Enter a liquidation date and this page computes that entry's deadline. Whether a protest is the right path for the entry is a determination for your licensed customs broker or attorney.

From your ACE reports, CBP's electronic bulletin notice, or your broker — see where to find it.

Pick a date and the entry's 180-day protest deadline appears here, with how much of the window is left.

Computed as the liquidation date + 180 calendar days under 19 U.S.C. § 1514(c)(3). The date math here is mechanical: it does not check whether the entry was reliquidated, whether a protest applies to it, or any filing logistics — those are determinations for your licensed customs broker or attorney.

Where the date lives

Finding an entry's liquidation date.

SOURCE 01

ACE reports

Entry summary reports exported from CBP's Automated Commercial Environment carry the liquidation date per entry. This is the same export the Ouli Refund scanner reads.

SOURCE 02

CBP's bulletin notice

Official notice of liquidation is posted electronically by CBP. The posted date is the one the 180-day window counts from.

SOURCE 03

Your customs broker

The broker who filed the entry can pull its status and liquidation date directly — and is the one who reviews and files whatever comes next.

Questions

What comes up with the date.

Where do I find an entry's liquidation date?

In the entry summary reports you export from ACE, in the electronic bulletin notice of liquidation CBP posts, or from the customs broker who filed the entry. The date on CBP's posted notice is the one the 180-day window counts from. Ouli Refund reads liquidation dates per entry from a pasted ACE export.

Is the 180-day protest deadline the same for every entry?

No. Under 19 U.S.C. § 1514 the window runs per entry — 180 days from that entry's own liquidation or reliquidation date — so two entries liquidated a week apart have deadlines a week apart. That is why this page takes one date at a time and the full product tracks the clock on every entry in an ACE export.

Does this calculator tell me whether to file a protest?

No. It applies one statute's date math to the date you enter — nothing more. Whether a protest, a CAPE declaration, litigation, or waiting is the right path for an entry is a determination for your licensed customs broker or attorney; the full product prepares the paperwork they review and file.

Where we stand

Computed, not counsel.

D01 · WHAT THIS PAGE DOES

It applies one statute's date math to a date you enter. It does not assess your entry, and its output is not advice. Outputs in the full product carry their own source notes.

D02 · WHO FILES

Oulution is not a law firm and not a customs brokerage. Filings with CBP are made by you or your licensed customs broker or attorney — never by us.

D03 · WHERE FIGURES COME FROM

Figures on this page are drawn from CBP court filings and public records, as of July 2026, and may change as litigation proceeds.

One date at a time is the slow way.

Paste a whole ACE export into Ouli Refund and get every entry's path, amount, and deadline in one session — with the reasoning shown all the way through.
